This is Bonnie Edwards from Merritt Island, FL where we launch the space shuttles. For your class, our temperatures over the Christmas holidays have been well into the 80's bright and sunny and HOT! here in Florida. My class has been busy constructing booties for the Iditarod Race and the process has been very time consuming not to mention labor intensive. I have a mom coming in weekly surging, then others sewing velcro on at home, then back to surging. We are also putting together a "Florida Quilt" this is my first and quite a learning project too. Each child in my class has a picture they have colored representing an animal or point of interest in our state. I really like the idea that Martha had about sending maps etc. we went to the Chamber of Commerce and picked up travel brochures to include also. Hello to all, have a wonderful 2008!
