Here is the quilt we sent to Big Lake, Alaska. One student, Megan , did a block with an eagle on it. It was so good that I had her duplicate the block and enter it in our annual Eagle Festival Art Competition. I am proud to say to won 3rd place!

Your students look so happy and proud!
They have really latched on to this Iditarod unit. We have been learning more about the Buser family from Big Lake as well as learning about the Iditarod.
Our room mothers have a big celebration planned for February 29th. It seems we will be treated to plush husky pups, snowcones, and t-shirts with husky dogs on them. Everyone is into it!
